Fun Ways To Use Button Badges During The Holidays

Button badges are popular and inexpensive promotional items, but instead of simply giving button badges to your customers during the holidays, you can add a few fun twists. If you have a brick-and-mortar store, you, your customers, and your employees will get a kick out of how button badges can make those holiday store hours more interesting and fun.
- “TAKE ME WITH YOU” BADGE
Most, if not all, stores offer specials during the holiday season. Most businesses would hand out flyers or hang posters or send emails. But if you want to offer your customers something truly special, make it a surprise. Your employees can wear a badge that advertises the day’s special offer – you can even have them wear different badges at different times of the day. The fun part is the badge has to instruct the customer to actually bring the badge-bearing employee to the checkout counter to avail of the special – this creates a fun atmosphere and fosters communication. If you can’t afford to have your employees leave their posts, then you can have one employee wear a badge at a time.

Continuing with the surprise factor, you can scatter special button badges in your store. The badges can give a special discount or freebie or whatever you can think of. A lot of businesses offer some sort of reward or rebate for a minimum purchase. Instead of simply advertising what they can get for a minimum offer, turn the reward into a surprise as well. When a customer makes a qualifying purchase, use button badges to determine what he/she can get. Place button badges with different offers inside a box or any opaque container, and have your customer draw from it. Offer deals with real value, like 30% off, or another significant discount on their next purchase, or perhaps a free item. Keep things interesting by including buttons that say “Try again” or “Get 2 buttons,” or “I’ll tell Santa you’ve been nice this year” for customers that aren’t so lucky.

A great way to encourage repeat customers especially during the holidays is to entice them with a big reward after a certain number of purchases or visits to your store.
